Tactic · dev.to · stat: 86% fake

Developer rovidev audited their GitHub bounty aggregator and discovered 83 of 97 flagged Algora bounties lacked verified app confirmation. The flaw—scraping issue body text instead of bot comments—created $18,900 in ghost listings across 67,000 keyword matches. Filtering specifically for the verified algora-pbc bot account reduced total open global bounties to roughly 33 issues.

Raw issue text scraping massively inflates open bounty market depth Founders building developer platforms or bounty marketplaces must validate bot webhooks over raw text matches to maintain signal quality.
